Legal Points of Entry / Airports / Marinas & Ports


Travellers arriving in the Republic of Cyprus may enter the Republic only through the legal ports of entry: Larnaka and Pafos International Airports, or the ports of Larnaka, Lemesos (Limassol), and Pafos.


1. LARNAKA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The airport is:
5 km (3 miles) from Larnaka town;
49 km (31 miles) from Lefkosia;
70 km (44 miles) from Lemesos;
46 km (29 miles) from Agia Napa;
139 km (89 miles) from Pafos.


Services offered to travellers at Larnaka International Airport include:

Flight Information (24 hours service, Tel: 77 88 33)
Tourist Information (08.15 - 23.00 hrs)
Foreign Exchange
Hotel Reservations (Cyprus Hotel Association)
Card and Coin-operated telephones
Duty-free shops
Cafeterias
News-stands, kiosk and souvenir shop
Transportation services (mainly private taxis and rates are based on taximetre)
Car rental offices
Special facilities for handicapped travellers such as truck-lifts for their embarkation and disembarkation from the aircraft, wheelchairs, special washrooms, automatic doors etc.
Post Office (closed on Sundays and Public Holidays)
Health Inspector’s Office
V.A.T. Refund Office
Car Park: CL5,40 per day (for over 12 hrs). Minimum charge 30 cents for the first hour.


2. PAFOS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
The airport is:
15 km ( 9 miles) east of Pafos town;
63 km (39 miles) from Lemesos;
129 km (81 miles) from Larnaka;
50 km (30 miles) from Polis;
146 km (91 miles) from Lefkosia.


Services offered to travellers at Pafos International Airport include:

Flight Information (24 hours service, Tel: 77 88 33)
Tourist Information (service up to 23.00 hrs)
Foreign Exchange
Card and Coin-operated telephones
Duty free shops
Cafeteria
News-stands, kiosk and souvenir shop
Transportation service (private taxis and rates are based on taximetre).
Hotel reservations and bookings for self-drive cars can be arranged through the Tourist Information Office.
V.A.T. Refund Office

Ports
Passenger and cruise traffic in Cyprus is served by the multipurpose ports of Lemesos (Limassol) and Larnaka on the south coast of the country.

All port facilities of the island are under the jurisdiction of the Cyprus Ports Authority and their activities and the development are centrally planned. Coordinated and supervised:

1. LIMASSOL (LEMESOS) PORT

The largest port facility on the island, it is situated in the western part of Lemesos town and can accommodate vessels of any L.O.A.

Ferries connect Lemesos port with Greece, Israel, Egypt, Lebanon etc.

The port also serves as a base and stop-over for a large number of cruise ships conducting cruises in the region on a regular and frequent basis.

2. LARNAKA PORT

Situated on the eastern part of Larnaka town at a distance of 5 km from the Larnaka International Airport, the port can accommodate vessels, not far in excess of 250 m. L.O.A. and longer vessels according to their ability to manoeuvre.
